Josh Turns 7 (January 13, 2012)

I can't believe it's already been 7 years since we welcomed this handsome guy into our family.  All Joshua wanted for his birthday was to have a sleepover with his friends so he invited 4 of his best buddies from church.  What an amazing group of boys!  

They all had a great time together! 

They got to make their own pizzas for dinner

  

& of course have cake and ice cream.  Josh wanted a cookie cake this year.

We had the #7 candle on there along with candles that said 

Happy Birthday Joshua.  When we got them all lit, it kind of just looked like a flaming tray of fire.  Obviously Josh thought it was quite a lot of candles too.

But he didn't have any trouble blowing them all out.

Josh got to open presents. The Nerf gun was from us.  Just what the boys needed--another weapon, but at least this one shoots discs instead of bullets.

All the kids had a fun time playing the Wii, doing karaoke, jumping in the bounce house and anything else they could think of.  Finally it was BEDTIME!

We all survived the first sleepover at our house.  The boys were fantastic and Josh had a really fun birthday!  We love you Josh!  HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY!!

Our sweet, little Luke!

Luke was so excited about being 3 that his Mom even let him jump on the bed!

We had such a fun day just hanging out and playing. We all headed to Chick-fil-A for dinner per Luke's request and then back home for some yummy birthday cake.  

It's been a wonderful day of celebrating this little guy!  Thank you Lord for blessing our family with him three years ago.

Luke's 1st Day of Preschool

What an exciting day here in the Bowman house!  

It was Luke's 

I was a little worried that he may not love the whole "going to school" program so we talked about it a lot beforehand.  This morning he did awesome!  All SMILES!!!

He was so excited to wear his backpack. It kind of looks like it could topple him over.

Big brother Connor is going to the same preschool.  This is his third year there so he was not that excited to pose for all of the 1st day pictures.  I'm just happy he would get in one with his little brother.

When we got to the school both of the boys did GREAT!  Here they are with their buddy Deacon.

Luke headed right into his class and started doing a puzzle.  I was THRILLED there were no tears. Okay, there were tears but only from Mommy.  I just couldn't believe our littlest guy was so grown up already.

Enjoy school Luke! You are a precious blessing and we pray that you, Connor & Joshua accomplish all God has planned for you this school year!

Back to School-Josh starts 1st grade

I feel like we were just here last week dropping Joshua off for his first day of Kindergarten and now look at our big 1st grader!

Josh didn't seem nervous at all and just found his buddies in his class and hung out with them. Here he is with his friend Cody.

And of course, Miss Avery.  She's always too adorable!

And then, just like that--he was off to start his first day of 1st grade.

I Heart Faces-Beautiful Eyes

This week's challenge at I Heart Faces is "Beautiful Eyes."  I immediately thought of this picture of my son Connor when I saw the theme.  This was taken around Easter when Connor was showing off the bubbles he got in his Easter basket.  I love the color in the photo but especially his eyes.

Happy 5th Birthday Connor!

I know I say this on each of my kiddos birthdays, but really--where has the time gone??  Five years have flown by since we welcomed this precious little guy into our family.

Now Connor Christian is already turning 5!

So I thought it would be fun to take a little walk down memory lane of Connor's past birthdays.  He sure has grown a lot!!

Connor- you are a blessing to our family and we praise God for you each day!

A Trip to the Library

 It has been one hot summer here in St. Louis!  Because of the heat we haven't been able to get outside too often and we have had waaaay too much TV time which makes us all a little crazy.  So we have had to find some more productive activities outside of the house.  We are very blessed to have a library within 5 minutes from home so we have spent some fun filled and blissfully quiet time there this summer.  Yesterday we took a trip and found all kinds of new & exciting books to read.  

 Thank you Lord for the blessing of books and the peace and quiet the library has provided this summer!
